Who we are
Gulaay Ltd is an Aboriginal-owned, Aboriginal-led not-for-profit based on Wiradjuri Country in Wagga Wagga.
As a growing social enterprise, we exist to strengthen Aboriginal communities through culturally safe practice, trusted partnerships and practical support. We work alongside government, community organisations, service providers and local communities to develop solutions that respond to local needs and create meaningful opportunities.
Our name, Gulaay, meaning crossing place in Wiradjuri, reflects our purpose. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to move forward, overcome challenges and reach their potential. Through strong relationships and culturally safe practice, we help create pathways to better futures.
What we do
Gulaay currently provides independent foster, kinship, guardianship and restoration assessments for government and non-government organisations. Our assessments are culturally responsive, trauma-informed and strengths-based, supporting safe and informed decision-making for children, young people and families.
As a social enterprise, we reinvest income from our services into growing Gulaay’s capacity and creating long-term community impact.
As Gulaay continues to grow, we will explore opportunities to strengthen Aboriginal communities through partnerships, social enterprise and community-led initiatives that respond to local priorities.
Our leadership brings experience across Aboriginal engagement, child and family services, cultural safety, community partnerships and strategic development, guided by a commitment to respect, integrity and positive outcomes.
Gulaay exists to create practical pathways, build trusted relationships and contribute to stronger futures for Aboriginal communities.
